Polish Improvers

This course is aimed at those who have studied Polish for about 60 hours.


The grammatical content, (e.g. conjugation of all verbs, cases etc), combined with new vocabulary will enable students to improve their communication skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). By the end of the course students should be able to use Polish in practical communication like: shopping, making phone calls, describing past and future actions, making notes in the calendar.


There will be a wide range of materials used with lots of exercises.  Students will be encouraged to practise between lessons.


The coursebook: Hurra!!!Po polsku 2, ISBN 978-83-60229-26-2, units 5-6.


Learning Outcomes

You will cover the following aspects of grammar:

  • revision of units 1-4 (past simple and present simple tenses)
  • adjectives describing people and jobs
  • comparatives and superlatives, making comparisons
  • the miejscownik case (revision)
  • how to use adverbs


You will also cover the following topic areas:

  • jobs, education, job offers and candidates
  • city life, my town/city
  • Polish towns and cities
  • shops, offices
  • entertainment


Your Tutor

Anya Rocka Anya Rocka is a native Polish speaker holding a Master’s Degree in Arts from Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, Poland. After gaining the Qualified Teacher Status for England and completing the CELTA qualifications she has worked as an EFL Tutor in a number of language schools in England and as an A-Level Polish Tutor at Biddenham Upper School in Bedford. She also worked as a Polish GCSE examiner.

Please note full refunds can only be made if a class is cancelled or closed at the discretion of the College, or if you cancel your enrolment no less than two weeks before the course starts.
