The German Beginners Level 2 course is suitable for students who have already studied German for one term or who have completed approximately 20 hours of tuition.

German for Beginners - Level 2

The German Beginners Level 3 course is suitable for students who have already studied German for two terms or who have completed approximately 40 hours of tuition.

German for Beginners - Level 3

The German Intermediates course is suitable for students who have studied German for two to three years and are working toward B2 according to CEFR levels.

The German Lower Improvers course is suitable for students who have already studied German for one year or who have completed approximately 60 hours of tuition.

German Lower Improvers

The German Pre-Lower Improvers course is suitable for students who have already studied German for one year or who have completed approximately 60 hours of tuition.  It is a course for one term and feeds into German Lower Improvers in the spring term 2026.

The German Upper Improvers course is suitable for students who have already studied German for approximately two years.

German Upper Improvers

This course covers the history of Late Medieval and Tudor England. It is designed for students who have no particular expertise in the subject but simply wish to learn about the history of this country in a structured, rigorous, fashion. So, if you missed out on History at school or enjoy reading historical fiction and visiting castles and cathedrals then this is the course for you! 
Lessons will be taught in college but students will also be able to access them online

History – England in the Middle Ages

The Illustration course is ideal for anyone interested in developing their creativity and drawing skills. We cover many aspects of illustration, such as character design and picture books. If students have some basic drawing and painting experience, that’s great, but it’s not essential!
