Welcome to Hills Day

There is no better way to start your learning journey with the College than to attend Welcome to Hills. Students attend for one day on either 30 June or 1 July.

For one day, you will take part in three A level taster lessons and a Future Ready session, meet teachers, tutors and support staff, and explore the campus. You will also meet other students who are joining the College in September.

About the day

Students who are holding an offer with the College will have received emails about their Welcome Day.

Your day will include:

3 x subject taster sessions - these are your offered subjects
1 x Future Ready session with a tutor
A 50-minute lunch break at either 12 pm or 12.50 pm. Due to timetabling constraints, you cannot choose the time of your lunch break.

What to expect

Below are the answers to some of the main questions students have about Welcome to Hills.

Below is an outline of your timetable. Each day, we will have a split lunch, which means while some students will have a lesson during session 3, others will be on their lunch break.

Time	From 9.30 am
Activity	Arrive When you arrive, you can either wait in The Quad, or you can go straight to your classroom.

Time	10.00 to 10.50 am
Activity	Registration and first session

Time	10.50 to 11.05 am
Activity	Break time

Time	11.05 am to 11.55 am
Activity	Second session

Time	12.00 to 12.50 pm
Activity	Third session or lunch Students will either be timetabled for their third session or lunch break. Please note that your timetable is fixed and you must attend your sessions as shown.

Time	12.55 to 1.45 pm
Activity	Third session or lunch If you are timetabled for your third session at 12pm, this will be your lunch break. If you had your lunch from 12 pm, this will be your third session.
