Meet Hills Road’s Student Council for 2024-2025

Hills Road’s Student Council has been elected for 2024-2025!

We can't wait to see what you do!

Hills Road’s Student Council has been elected for 2024-2025! The Council is a group of ten elected students who work as a team to improve the College community and represent students to Hills Road’s management and outside observers.

Those elected are required to attend weekly Council meetings and set aside an average of two hours a week for work related to the council’s activities and they are expected to play a leading role in representing Hills Road at transition events, Open Events and Year 11 welcome days.

Thank you to our Student Council of 2023-2024 for all your hard work and dedication to your roles and the College as a whole! You’ve done some incredible things while you have been here, including the standout Winter Ball! We wish you all the best moving forward and can’t wait to see what you do next – we know that it will be something special!

To our new Student Council, we wish you the very best of luck! We’re certain that you’ll do a terrific job and help support your fellow students admirably.

The Mental Health Officer is responsible for making regular contact with the student body to stay aware and informed of mental health concerns and issues. They will work closely with the college’s Wellbeing team, and other parties, to promote and publicise relevant events.

I would like to congratulate all the new members of the Student Council for their successful election campaigns. I am looking forward to working alongside the new team. All candidates, both elected and not, ran brilliant campaigns including presenting campaign videos, passionately speaking at hustings and using posters and social media to advertise their policy ideas. Finally, I would like to thank the current Student Council for their outstanding efforts this year and wish them all the very best of luck for the future.
