Introduction to web development: HTML and CSS

Introduction to web development: HTML and CSS

If you’re looking to change careers or learn new skills to upgrade and enhance your current career, learning to code is one of the ways to do so.

This course will introduce you to two essential building blocks that every website is built with: HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).

This is a beginner level course, you do not need to have any coding skills or even know how the internet works - we will cover it all. You can bring your own laptop or use the computers provided by Hills Road College - all work will be saved online and you will be able to access it from anywhere.

At the end of this course you will be able to build a simple website with HTML and CSS, hosted on, a free social development environment that allows you to write code in the browser (no need to download anything to your computer), and see the results of it as you build.
