Students succeed in LTA league

Congratulations to both of Hills Road’s Tennis teams who gave exceptional performances at the LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) League's regional finals!

Well done for all your success!

The LTA League competition, which has approximately 250 teams across the country compete, began in November of 2023.

Both our men’s and women’s teams won their pool rounds to qualify for the knockout stage. They then went on to win two rounds of knockout and the semifinals to reach the finale of this competition.

Caroline Seton-Rogers, a Teacher of Physical Education, noted that “the competition was stiff, but both teams played some amazing tennis.”

The men’s team placed third overall and the women’s team were runners-up! Hills Road was the only College to manage to get both their men’s and women’s teams through to this stage – an incredible achievement.

Well done to all the students who participated and to our staff who supported them! This is an amazing achievement, and you all should be proud of it.

Thank you to all staff who wished them luck, the students mentioned how much they appreciated it!
