Polish Beginners Level 1

This course will suit those amongst you who have no previous knowledge of Polish.

The language learnt will be that used in real life situations, both written and spoken. There will be a wide range of materials used with lots of exercises. Students will be encouraged to practise between lessons.

Learning Outcomes

 By the end of the course you should be able to:

Understand text dealing with basic personal and social needs (e.g. simple captions, simple text messages etc.)

Understand brief recordings (e.g. radio announcements, Polish songs, short TV, presentations)

Give and receive basic realistic information (e.g. describing people and objects, talking about hobbies, etc)

Write short texts (e.g. simple letters, postcards, simple notes etc.)

Kinga Ston Kinga Ston is a native speaker of Polish, who graduated with a Master’s Degree in English Language Teaching from the University of Silesia and now has Qualified Teacher Status in the UK. Kinga has held a number of positions within the educational sector as an English teacher of adults and children. Currently she is also working as a Learning Resource Specialist at one of the colleges in Cambridge.
