Ancient Greek Beginners Level 1
The Ancient Greek Beginners Level 1 course is suitable for students who have no previous knowledge of Ancient Greek.
About the course
The Ancient Greek Beginners Level 1 course is an introduction to Ancient Greek and the Classical World. It focuses on reading and translating, beginning with the alphabet and culminating in reading some of Aesop’s fables in their original language. Students will gain an understanding of how Ancient Greek works and insights into its grammar. This course feeds into Ancient Greek Beginners Level 2 in the next term.
Ancient Greek Beginners Level 1 introduces students to the Ancient Greek language and culture in a fun and effective way. Each session will include opportunities for work in pairs and groups so that students practise new vocabulary and linguistic structures in a lively and varied way.
