Come and learn the basic steps of some dances: Waltz, Social Foxtrot, Quickstep, Rumba, Cha Cha Cha and Jive. This course is ideal for the complete beginner, no previous experience needed. The steps are kept very simple and the emphasis is on fun. All ages are welcome.
Why learn to dance? For starters it's a lot of fun! Fun aside, dancing has so much more to offer than just a good time. Exercise, stress relief, self-confidence, social poise and a creative outlet are amongst the many benefits you can receive from dancing.
I've got 2 left feet - is that a problem? The beginners course is about learning the absolute basics of some popular dances. The atmosphere and teaching style in this class is very relaxed - Fred Astaire himself is quoted as saying "some people seem to feel that good dancers are born. All the good dancers I've known have been taught or trained".
Having a partner is not essential, but please be aware that you will not be guaranteed a partner at the class.
