The Illustration course is ideal for anyone interested in developing their creativity and drawing skills. We cover many aspects of illustration, such as character design and picture books. If students have some basic drawing and painting experience, that’s great, but it’s not essential!

Illustration for Beginners

The Illustration Next Step Evening Course is designed for those who have completed the Illustration course at Hills Road or have prior experience in illustration and/or drawing. This short course offers a focused opportunity to refine your techniques and explore the next steps in your creative journey, from developing a personal style to navigating client work and commissions.

The Life Drawing course welcomes students of all abilities. Whether you are a complete beginner to life drawing who is looking to learn the very basics of drawing or an experienced artist wanting to develop their skills, this is the perfect course for you. We have three courses each week - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday so choose the day that suits you by scrolling right.

Life Drawing

Hands are one of the most expressive yet challenging subjects to draw. This one-day workshop offers a structured and accessible approach to understanding and drawing hands with confidence. Suitable for all skill levels, the session combines foundational principles with practical exercises, guiding participants through anatomy, form, gesture, and refinement.
