About the course
Our Illustration course equips aspiring illustrators with key techniques in facial expressions, anatomy, animal illustration, tone, shading, and character development. Emphasising narrative composition in comics and picture books, students will design characters and craft engaging visual narratives, enhancing their creativity and illustration skills.
The course covers a variety of topics essential for aspiring illustrators. Starting with processes and techniques used in illustration, it delves into the art of drawing facial expressions and mastering basic anatomy for drawing.
Participants also learn how to bring animals to life on paper, explore the nuances of tone and shading, and delve into the intricacies of creating and developing characters. The course further expands into narrative illustration, focusing on comics and picture books, providing a holistic view of storytelling through art.
Students will design their own characters, acquire essential illustration techniques, and learn methods for creating compelling visual narratives for their characters. Additionally, they will have gained valuable tools and techniques to enhance their drawings and develop impactful and engaging characters for their illustrations.
