Drawing the Basics

This course is for complete beginners or those who wish to develop their observational drawing skills, the course takes an in-depth look at basic drawing techniques. Each session will concentrate on a particular aspect of drawing and include discussion and analysis of the work of relevant artists. Students will have the opportunity to explore various drawing media and surfaces.

Learning Outcomes

This course will give you the opportunity to gain:   ·Skills and confidence in observational drawing. ·Broader knowledge and development of skills in a variety of drawing media. ·Understanding of drawing as an art form through the study of individual artists.    

Your Tutor

Sheila Bryan initially trained as a textile designer at Middlesex Polytechnic, then moved to working as a fine artist. She has exhibited in several major public exhibitions and numerous private exhibitions. Sheila has also been working as a garden designer with a particular interest in perennial and grass plantings.
