British Sign Language Beginners Level 1
The British Sign Language Beginners Level 1 course is designed for students who have no previous knowledge of British Sign Language (BSL).

About the course
The British Sign Language Beginners Level 1 course is based on a communicative approach and aims to help students to use BSL effectively for the purposes of practical communication, to develop understanding of sentence syntax and to offer insights into deaf culture.
This course feeds into British Sign Language Beginners Level 2 in the next term.
British Sign Language Beginners Level 1 introduces students to BSL language and culture in a fun and effective way. Each session will include a range of learning activities, including work in pairs and groups so that students practise new vocabulary and linguistic structures in a lively and varied way.

Japanese Beginners Level 1
The Beginners Level 1 course is designed for students who have no previous knowledge of Japanese.
Arabic Beginners Level 2
Building on students' previous learning, the course continues to develop students' confidence in communicating in everyday situations.
Korean Beginners Level 2
The Beginners Level 2 course is suitable for students who have already studied Korean for one term or who have completed approximately 20 hours of tuition.

Payment is made in full at the time of booking.
If you are booking a Level 3 or 4 Counselling course, you will be able to pay for this using a Direct Debit, which you will set up before the course starts in September. Please check the relevant course pages for details.
