The Introduction to Philosophy course is designed for anyone interested in philosophy and the big questions that shape how people think, live and make sense of the world.  No prior philosophical knowledge is assumed.

Students on the Introduction to Philosophy course will be introduced to core areas of philosophy.  The first part of the course focuses on ethics, values and politics and examines questions such as the nature of goodness, ethics and AI, and the nature of justice.  The second part of the course focuses on metaphysics and epistemology and covers questions such as how we know what we know and the nature of consciousness. The Introduction to Philosophy course is designed for anyone interested in philosophy and the big questions that shape how people think, live and make sense of the world. The Introduction to Shakespeare course is designed for anyone interested in Shakespeare and his works.

This course will primarily focus on recording and production. You will gain an insight into how contemporary music is recorded, engineered and produced.

Music Technology - Recording and Producing

Learn to write poetry, or enhance your skills, in the comfort of your own home with our online Poetry Writing course. Each week you’ll learn about a variety of different poetry techniques to develop your writing.

Poetry Writing (online)

The Reading Poetry course is for anyone who loves poetry, whether they are keen readers who would like to discover new poems and poets, or new readers who wish to learn more about a variety of poetry forms and themes while exploring poetry written by new and established poets. During the course, participants will read a substantial selection of some of the most influential poetry voices around the UK, US and Europe – past and contemporary.

Reading Poetry

Led by a neuroscientist who is also a qualified yoga teacher, the Yoga and the Mind 10-week course helps students improve flexibility, reduce stress, regulate their nervous system and strengthen the mind–body connection. Each session blends gentle yoga with psychoeducation about how the brain and body work together to support wellbeing.
