Yoga and the Mind - Movement meets Neuroscience

Led by a neuroscientist who is also a qualified yoga teacher, the Yoga and the Mind 10-week course helps students improve flexibility, reduce stress, regulate their nervous system and strengthen the mind–body connection. Each session blends gentle yoga with psychoeducation about how the brain and body work together to support wellbeing.

This Yoga and the Mind 10-week course offers an accessible, supportive space to discover how yoga can enhance both physical and mental health. Each week you’ll practise gentle postures, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques, while also learning about your nervous system and how yoga affects the brain and body. No previous yoga experience is required — sessions are inclusive and designed to help you increase flexibility, release tension and improve self-regulation.

Across ten weeks you will:

  • Practise gentle yoga postures to improve flexibility and mobility
  • Learn breathing techniques to relax and restore balance
  • Explore how simple movement and mindfulness calm the nervous system
  • Gain clear, easy-to-understand psychoeducation on how your nervous system works
  • Understand how yoga benefits brain function, stress response and emotional wellbeing
  • Strengthen your mind–body connection through integrated practices
  • Build a toolkit of stress-management and relaxation skills to use every day

Each class combines movement, breathwork, guided relaxation and short discussions explaining how the practices work in your body and mind, with insights from the teacher’s neuroscience background.
