About the course

The Introduction to the Ancient Greeks course explores the rich world of the ancient Greeks and examines how ancient Greek culture continues to resonate today.  This course is will look at different aspects of the ancient Greek world.  

Students on the Introduction to the Ancient Greeks course will explore the cultural and intellectual achievements of the Ancient Greeks and their enduring legacy in modern politics, philosophy and art.  Students will find out about the gods and goddesses of Greek mythology, the birth of rational philosophy, with insights into Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, Greek tragedy and the evolution of Greek theatre, among other topics.
