German Pre-Lower Improvers
The German Pre-Lower Improvers course is suitable for students who have already studied German for one year or who have completed approximately 60 hours of tuition. It is a course for one term and feeds into German Lower Improvers in the spring term 2026.
About the course
The German Pre-Lower Improvers course revises and builds on previous learning. The programme aims to develop all four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students will develop their confidence in communication in practical situations. The Pre-Lower Improvers course bridges the gap between German Beginners Level 3 and German Lower Improvers starting in the spring term.
The German Pre-Lower Improvers course helps students make the transition from studying at Beginners to improvers Level. Students will start to learn more linguistic structures and vocabulary, which will help them communicate more successfully in German.

The course is suitable for students who have studied German for two to three years and are working toward B2 according to CEFR levels.
German for Beginners - Level 3
The course is suitable for students who have already studied German for two terms or who have completed approximately 40 hours of tuition.
German for Beginners - Level 2
The course is suitable for students who have already studied German for one term or who have completed approximately 20 hours of tuition.

Payment
Payment is made in full at the time of booking.
If you are booking a Level 3 or 4 Counselling course, you will be able to pay for this using a Direct Debit, which you will set up before the course starts in September. Please check the relevant course pages for details.
