Societies Street welcomes students into College life

From History Society and F1 Society to East Asian Society, stalls represented a broad mix of subjects, hobbies and interests. The Wellbeing team also hosted a stall, providing a friendly and welcoming space for students to meet the team and find out more about the support available at College.

The event proved particularly popular with Year 12 students, with a large and lively turnout and many societies welcoming an impressive number of students keen to get involved.

The Student Council also enjoyed meeting students who were curious to learn more about the Council and how student representation works at Hills Road.

Sze Hang Lam, Societies Officer and Vice Chair of the Student Council, said: “I was excited to see so many students and societies getting involved in the event. It was really well organised, and it was great to see such a strong turnout.”

Following the success of Societies Street, the Student Council is planning another event halfway through the academic year, giving students another opportunity to discover societies and get involved.

Societies are an important part of life at Hills Road, offering students the chance to pursue their interests, try something new and connect with others across the College community.
