proud of our students’ many achievements including their outstanding examination results. Our two
most recent Ofsted inspection reports awarded a grade 1 (‘outstanding’) for all areas inspected.
We have also been awarded Learning and Skills Beacon status which recognises the high quality of
student support, of teaching and learning and of leadership and management; as well as our commitment
to sharing good practice. The College has a happy and purposeful atmosphere and there is a real
sense of partnership between staff and students.

On behalf of all the students in the College, the Student Council welcomes you to Hills Road. We hope that this introduction
and the Prospectus will give you a feel for the College and college life. Additionally we would like to invite you to one of our Open
Evenings in November; these offer a great chance to look around the facilities on the site and also to chat to students and staff
about the way the College works. The Student Council is a team elected by the student body to support their interests and welfare,
and to present their opinions to the management of the College. We aim to respond to what students want and need, to provide the
best experience for them during their two years here. The Council frequently runs events, including concerts and charity events for
fundraising and to support organisations chosen by the students. There are also a number of higher-profile College social events
throughout the academic year which we are greatly looking forward to. Good luck in your application and we look forward to meeting
