Hills Road is a friendly and caring College committed to offering the best opportunities possible for
its students. The continued success of the College is due to the commitment of our experienced
and knowledgeable staff, which currently number around 250 employed in a wide range
of teaching and support roles. The College has excellent facilities with permanent
specialist accommodation in which all lessons are taught. It is an exciting and
rewarding place in which to work and many visitors to the college comment on its purposeful and happy atmosphere.
We have a range of full-time and
part-time employment opportunities, both term-time only and full year. Staff enjoy
the benefits of working in a well-maintained and resourced environment with good
terms and conditions of employment.
Staff are able to join either the
Teachers’ Pension Scheme, if they are teaching staff, or the Local Government Pension
Scheme, if they are support staff. Both of these are final salary schemes which
include pension provision, life insurance and death in service benefits.

There are excellent sporting facilities
at Hills Road Sports and Tennis Centre which staff are entitled to use free of charge
on weekdays between 7.00am and 6.00pm.
20% discount is available on all
Adult Education course fees which range from short one-day recreational Saturday
schools to year long certificated courses in academic subjects.
Free car parking is available on the College site, although a restriction on the number of spaces means that unfortunately we are unable to guarantee a parking space. There are very good public transport links to the College and a dedicated secure store for those choosing to travel to work by bicycle. As an employee of the College you may be eligible to join the Cycle scheme which allows you to purchase a tax free bicycle on a salary sacrifice scheme.
We provide benefits in excess of
the statutory minimum for maternity, paternity and family leave and offer generous
benefits during sickness absence linked to the length of service.
