Staff are employed in a number of subject specific teaching posts and are supported by staff with expertise in various areas. The types of post that we advertise include:

 

Teaching staff:

• Head of Department
• Head of Subject
• Subject Teacher
• Adult Education Tutor

Support staff:

• Administration and Finance staff
• Subject specific technicians
• Estates staff
• Student Services staff
• Sports and Tennis Centre Administration and Instructors

Teaching and Support staff are employed on nationally agreed terms and conditions. Salary scales are reviewed annually on September 1st and are similar to those offered in the maintained schools sector and local government.

 

Teaching staff can benefit from the nationally agreed performance framework for Professional Standards Payments into which the maintained schools’ ‘threshold’ is transferable.

 

For new entrants to the teaching profession ‘Golden Hello’ payments of up to £5,000 and repayment of student loan may be available in certain designated shortage subject areas that we currently provide: Maths, Science, Information and Communication Technology, English, Media Studies and Performing Arts, Design and Technology, Essential Skills (Literacy, Communication, ESOL) Business Administration.
