The A level results for close to 1100 Year 13 students in 2017 were as follows:
A level pass rate at grades A* to B: 76%
A level pass rates at grades A* to C: 92%
A level pass rate at grades A* to E: 99.4%

With top grades continuing to dominate (approaching half of all grades were A* or A), Hills Road students are once again exceptionally well placed to secure their first choice destinations, whether in higher education, training or employment.

Principal, Jo Trump said, "We are absolutely delighted for our students that they have coped so well with the challenges of the new linear A level specifications and continued to perform so strongly in the legacy A level qualifications too. We are really pleased, not only with the very high percentage of top grades, but also with the consistency of performance across subjects.

“Students achieved a 100% pass rate in the majority of subjects with an average pass rate in the remaining subjects of 99%. Added to that, 18% of our A level results were at A* grade – more than double the national average in a very challenging year.

“Our thanks go to all students, staff, families and previous schools – it’s a great team effort and we couldn’t be more thrilled that everyone’s hard work has been so richly rewarded.

“Students leave us with our warmest congratulations and our very best wishes for their future happiness and success.”
